  • Minimum face-to-face contact times are:

    • Blended: At least 7 hours

    • Full Face-to-Face: At least 9 hours

    • Online with Face-to-Face Assessment: At least 1 hour

    • Completing a first aid incident report for a simulated scenario

    • Managing a child with anaphylaxis

    • Managing a child with asthma

    • Responding to choking in a child or infant

    • Treating non-life-threatening bleeding and shock (including wound cleaning)

    • Managing a child with a nosebleed

    • Treating fractures, dislocations, sprains, and strains

    • Managing envenomation (e.g. snake or funnel-web spider bite)

    Theory assessment: A written, multiple-choice test covering key course knowledge.
